Area of Expertise
Mr. Yancy is the President of Criterium-Yancy Engineers and has been performing building related engineering services since 2007. Mr. Yancy and the firm engage in the comprehensive investigation of commercial and residential properties. In addition, Mr. Yancy has a wide variety of skills and knowledge that are utilized to perform job functions including: mechanical and plumbing systems, electrical systems, civil and structural systems, environmental evaluation, design of infrastructure and storm drainage facilities, regulatory compliance, code compliance, green building, and development feasibility.
Many of the clients that Mr. Yancy engages with on a day to day basis are business owners and operators, investors, property owners and/or managers, relocation company representatives, insurance claim managers, and individuals who want a professional engineer to do the home inspection prior to purchasing.
Qualifications
Mr. Yancy has personally conducted over one thousand inspections that range from structural inspections, damage & failure analysis, to residential inspections. In addition, he has worked on numerous reserve studies and environmental site assessments to satisfy financial institution’s lending requirements. He has implemented his knowledge of LEED to assist property owners with “green” and sustainable retrofits & improvements, designed infrastructure, flood control facilities and potable water facilities, in addition to having extensive experience with construction specification preparation and construction monitoring.
Mr. Yancy currently holds a professional engineering license in the state of Texas. He has been in the engineering field for over 11 years and continues to build on that experience through a large list of resources and his interest in new projects with new challenges. His goal is to achieve cost effective client-oriented solutions and enhancing peoples' lives through improved understanding and performance of the buildings in which they work and live.
